The Club Nur Hookah Lounge

Club Nur transforms Eleven Nightclub's sidewalk patio into a semi-enclosed hookah lounge under a white tent. The free hookah bar is tended by a hot Armenian boy, Haik, who serves a variety of hookah flavors that are specially blended for Club Nur.

The Club Nur hookah lounge offers an intimate and friendly atmosphere more conducive to meeting that boy you were eyeing on the dance floor, while enjoying a few puffs of your favorite hookah flavor.

While hookahs vary in size and extravagance, they're generally set up the same way, with a glass, water-filled base connected to an upright pipe topped with a bowl. The bowl holds the maassel, tobacco soaked in a mix of molasses, semidried fruit and honey with the occasional artificial flavoring. On top of it, separated by a thin sheet of aluminum foil peppered with tiny holes, is a lump of hot coal. A flexible tube connects to the water bowl, from which the user sucks in smoke that is cooled by the liquid, producing a smooth taste.
